SWTOR Vector Hyllis Companion Guide
This is my SWTOR Vector Hyllis Companion Guide where I will tell you everything you need to know about the human joiner.
The role of the Imperial Agent is primarily to eliminate anyone who is perceived to be an enemy of the Empire. This includes treacherous Sith Moffs and double-crossing rebels from the Republic. No one is too senior or powerful for the agents and they are trained to track them down and assassinate them.
With connections across all political settings, Agents are the Empire’s best secret weapon. Their operations are carried out stealthily and usually, no one has an idea of what they will do until they strike. The two advanced classes of the Imperial Agent are Operative and Sniper.
Both these classes will acquire the same Companions. Snipers typically specialize in DPS while Operatives prefer healing roles, therefore Vector, who is a melee DPS, is not the best choice of Companion for the agent, who would probably prefer a Tank or Healer dependent on the advanced class they chose.
Vector Hyllus has repeatedly expressed admiration for Imperial accomplishments while indicating a desire to spread Imperial influence through diplomatic channels.
You will recruit him to your crew at around level 27, upon completion of class quests on Alderaan. His attitudes were likely shaped by the Imperial reconstruction of his homeworld and are appropriate for a Diplomatic Service member.
Race: Human (joiner)
Level of recruitment: Approximately level 27
Vector’s personality is light, regardless of the fact that he’s working for the Imperials. This makes is difficult when playing typically as a dark side character and making dark choices. In light of this, I find it easiest to gain his affection through buying gifts.
His favorite conversation options involve: diplomacy, helping people, and exploring alien cultures, whilst his least preferred are those which consist of: greed, cruelty, prejudice, anti-alien sentiment.
Hyllis specializes in being a melee DPS. He prefers use of an Electrostaff and a Generator off-hand. He will assist you in combat by ensuring that your foes are taken care of swiftly and effectively.
Role: Melee DPS
Likes: Diplomacy, helping people, exploring alien cultures
Dislikes: Greed, cruelty, prejudice, anti-alien sentiment
Primary Weapon: Electrostaff
Secondary Weapon: Generator
As you progress through SWTOR’s storyline, you will notice that some items given as quests rewards will be specifically intended for your Companion characters. You’ll see which these are, as they will contain his or her name.
Hyllis’ armor proficiency is medium, so if you decide that you don’t want him to look like all the other Vectors, you may wish to purchase more unique outfits from a medium armor vendor, or save up your commendations to buy him the best gear possible.
Whilst this SWTOR Vector Hyllis Companion Guide is designed to serve you best for combat purposes, it’s also intended to provide information on his personality and his crew skill expertise. If you use him respectively, he will gain +5 Bioanalysis Efficiency, and +5 Diplomacy Critical.
Armor Proficiency: Medium
Primary Stat: Willpower
Secondary Stat: Endurance
Crew Skill Proficiency: +5 Bioanalysis Efficiency, and +5 Diplomacy Critical
Romance-able: Yes, if female
If you decide to pursue a romantic relationship with Vector Hyllis, you may do so if you gain enough affection with him, or you can choose to buy his love with gifts. You can only have a romance with him if you decide to play as a female Imperial Agent, however.
Even if you play as a male character, you may benefit from improving his affection with you as this will increase your characters “Presence” skill. Vector’s favorite types of gift are: cultural artifacts, Imperial memorabilia, courting (from females), luxury, trophies, and weapons.
Military Gear: indifferent
Courting: indifferent, favorite
Republic Memorabilia: indifferent
Imperial Memorabilia: favorite
Cultural Artifact: love
Underworld Good: indifferent
I truly hope my SWTOR Vector Hyllis Companion Guide served as some use to you all, and provided you with insight to how to best use him in and out of combat.
