SWTOR Smuggler Companions Guide

Below you will find the ultimate SWTOR Smuggler Companions Guide, including their statistics and what they like and dislike. Whether you choose to be a Gunslinger or a Scoundrel, your companions as a Smuggler will be the same. This guide will help you on what each of their roles are (Healer, Tank, etc), and what will best aid you depending on your characters role.

I am writing this SWTOR Smuggler Companions Guide as I find it annoying knowing that all the information I need is not in one place. You can click on the name of each companion below to be taken to a full page on this particular companion

Corso Riggs Guide

Corso is your first companion, who you will find towards the end of Ord Mantell (the starter planet for a Smuggler). Depending on how fast you choose to do your story quests will determine which level he joins your crew. It should be around level 7. Corso is a ranged tank, meaning he will help you by taking the aggro using grenades and EMP blasts, while also using some melee attacks. Corso is a human, and a true gentleman. He won’t stand for anyone hurting women, and is romance-able (for female characters only).

C2-N2

I’m not entirely sure to what extent you would call C2-N2 a companion. You get him with your ship, which you should get at around level 16. C2-N2 is not made for fighting. He will punch with his fists and can be used as a weak healer, but his primary purpose is crafting. You will, however, find that while questing you can receive some rewards which will allow you to upgrade him with new parts. C2-N2 definitely isn’t romance-able, as there is no way of building his affection. He is already completely devoted to his master, and all he likes to do is serve you, nothing displeases him!

Bowdaar Guide

Bowdaar is your second companion, who will join your crew at the end of Nar Shaddaa after you free him from Hutt captivity. Again, which level you receive him will depend on the rate at which you complete your story quests on Nar Shaddaa, but it should be at around level 25. Bowdaar is a melee tank, meaning he attacks using a Vibrosword close range. He is a Wookie, and aside from being adorable, he is brutally strong and has won hundreds of death matches. He likes a good fight against worthy foes, protecting the weak, and when you protect his honour.

Risha Guide

Risha is the third companion you will receive as a Smuggler, and you get her at around level 32 after you finish off your class quests on Alderaan. After she becomes part of your crew, you also will have finished Act 1 of your story quest, unlocking your legacy. Risha is a human who uses ranged dps, whose primary weapon is a sniper rifle, so her moves will probably be fairly similar to your own. She likes profit, self interest, secrets and tech. Risha is also romance-able (for male characters only).

Akaavi Spar Guide

Akaavi Spar is your fourth companion. She appears and fights with you towards the end of Balmorra, and she becomes part of your crew at around level 35 after you help her out. Akaavi is a melee dps, meaning she’ll fight with you, preferring close range attacks. Akaavi is a Mandalorian/Zabrak, with a dark personality, who likes Combat Challenges, Profit and Irritating Authority Figures. As Akaavi has a dark personality, when playing the light side, I found it was almost impossible to impress her without buying her love. Akaavi Spar is also romance-able (for male characters only).

Guss Tuno Guide

Guss Tuno is your fifth and final companion. He is your story quest giver on Hoth, and he later joins your crew as you are about to leave. This all happens at around level 41. Guss is a healer, which is extremely useful for the Gunslingers, but not as useful for the scoundrels as they obviously don’t need any more help healing! Guss is a Mon Calamari race with a neutral personality who likes mocking force users, profit from those who can afford it, and a good scam. He’s another one who’s hard to impress as most of us like to choose to be either Light side or Dark side. Guss is not romance-able…I guess he has too many insecurities to overcome, what with being a fish-man and all.

So there we have it, my SWTOR Smuggler Companions Guide on how to get all the companions as a Smuggler class and how to make the most of them, without constantly dying, or making them hate you. If you wish to find out more about each companion character specifically, read my other articles which go more into depth on how to make them love you, which guns/melee weapons/armor they use and each of their main stats to remember.
