A symbol of hope in dark times, the Jedi Knight stands for the legacy of the Jedi Order—more than twenty thousand years of protecting the Republic and keeping the peace across the galaxy. Though Jedi Knights have served as generals, guerilla fighters, and warriors for generations, their legendary combat prowess faces its greatest test during this age.
Through years of disciplined training and meditation, the Jedi Knight hones body and mind into perfect harmony. Combining the foresight of the Force with unrivaled reflexes and practiced physical precision, the Knight turns combat into an art form, gracefully executing acrobatic feats in tandem with elegant lightsaber tactics. When you reach level 10, you will be able to specialize in one of two paths: The Sentinel who is a DPS class and wields dual lightsabers, and the Guardian: a Tanking/DPS class who uses a single lightsaber. Whichever class you choose, your Companions will be the same, though some will be more effective for your role than others.
Lord Scourge will be your fifth and final Companion available to the Jedi Knight. You can find him at approximately level 41 after Hoth. You can find him on Empire’s Palace. As the Sith Emperor’s personal executioner, the grimly fatalistic Lord Scourge has personally killed more than a hundred Jedi–and ten times as many Sith. Even the most powerful members of the Dark Council avoid offending the man bearing the title “the Emperor’s Wrath.”

Recruited: Post-Hoth, Empire’s Palace
Level of recruitment: Approximately level 41
Scourge is a melee tank, meaning he will attack from a short range, and takes the agro off of you. However, this won’t be very useful to those choosing a Tanking path. He would instead be useful to those on a DPS route. Those who are playing as a Guardian Tank should instead consider using a healer like Doc or a DPS class like Kira Carson.
Lord Scourge will prefer you to choose conversation options aligned to a Dark path. His favorite choices include: using power against the weak, power, anger, revenge and spite, though his least favorite options are: greed, acts of mercy, Jedi and Republic authorities. Choosing options he dislikes will cause a loss of affection.

Whilst playing through SWTOR, you will notice that on completion of some quests, you will be rewarded with Companion items. These can include: armor, off-hand items or weapons. You will notice which items are specifically intended for your Companion as they will contain their name in the item title. This would be my favorite way to upgrade your Companion’s armor, as it is easy, no fuss, and free. You can buy him armor to further personalize him, however. His armor proficiency is heavy, so if you visit a Heavy Armor Vendor (found on most planets) you can upgrade his armor here, though this can be very expensive. Another option for upgrading Lord Scourge’s armor would be to visit a Planetary Commendation Vendor, found on either the respective planet or the Republic Fleet. I don’t believe this to be a very good way to upgrade his gear however, as this can be pricey and will mean that you can’t spend the Commendations to upgrade your own gear!
My SWTOR Lord Scourge Companion Guide is intended to teach you all of his talents, and crew skills are another topic that needs to be taught! If you use him for the correct skills, you will gain additional bonuses such as purple (epic) items, schematics for new gear, ect. The skills he is proficient in will gain you: +10 Artifice Efficiency, and +10 Archaeology Efficiency.

Lord Scourge cannot be romanced. However, gaining his affection whether you’re female or male can still be beneficial as you will gain bonuses including: interesting stories from his past, increased “Presence” attribute for your Character, and improved efficiency when completing crew skill missions.
Lord Scourge, as you may have guessed, possesses a Dark side personality. This may make it difficult to gain his affection if you play typically as a Light side Character.
Fear not though, as it is possible in SWTOR to buy your Companion’s love! Simply visit a Companion Gift Vendor (this can be found on the Republic Fleet) and purchase his preferred gift choices. Make sure to buy correctly though, as failure to do so will result in lost credits and no affection gained. His favorite kinds of gifts are: Imperial memorabilia, technology, trophies, cultural artifacts, military gear, weapons, and underworld goods.
