SWTOR Kira Carsen Companion Guide
Prone to cynicism and a stubborn independent streak, Kira Carsen is an improbable recruit to the Jedi Order. This is partially excused by the fact that she began her Padawan training as a young adult; Kira had spent most of her life up to that point as a homeless drifter, scraping out a miserable existence on some of the galaxy’s most unpleasant worlds. In this SWTOR Kira Carsen Companion Guide I will explain in detail everything you need to know about her.
Jedi Knights are the masters of the lightsaber arts. They jump, kick, and flash through the air while using the Force to clear a path in front of them. Jedi Knights have before served as generals, warriors, and guerrilla fighters for generations.
The Jedi Knight is the guardian of a dream for a better tomorrow. You can choose one of two specializations as a Jedi Knight: The Sentinel who focuses on high damage abilities whilst wielding two lightsabers, and the Guardian who wields one lightsaber and is of tanking spec. The Guardian also has a damage branch in their skill tree, though they aren’t really intended for DPS. Whichever path you choose to take, your Companion characters will be the same
Kira Carsen specializes in being a melee DPS and is strong in the force. You will find her at the end of Coruscant at around level 25. She would be most useful to those choosing the Guardian path, as she will allow you to take the aggro while she deals damage. For those choosing the Sentinel DPS route, you would find it more useful to use a Tank such as T7-01.

Race: Human
Recruited: Coruscant
Level of recruitment: Approximately level 25
Thanks to her hard-luck upbringing, Kira has considerably more life experience than most Jedi–and a world-weary sophisticate’s attitude to match. In the eyes of her peers, Kira is someone who refuses to take anything seriously or fully commit to the Jedi path. Those who look more closely, however, might detect the glimmer of an optimist peeking through Kira’s sarcastic facade. Despite her insistence on questioning its teachings, she has a deep appreciation for the comfort and relative safety she obtained by joining the Jedi Order. She prefers conversations involving: being funny, getting involved, and mocking and defeating the Empire, though she dislikes options consisting of: bullying, acting like a mercenary, and cooperating with Sith.

Whilst playing through SWTOR you will notice some items will be given as quest rewards. These items may be specifically intended for Kira which will be obvious as the item’s title will contain Carsen’s name. The items you will receive for your Companions are new weapons, new off-hand weapons, or new armor.
You can alternatively visit a Light Armor Vendor (as this is her proficiency) to purchase some new gear for her. Another way to upgrade the gear your Companions wear is to spend your Planetary Commendations on them, However, I wouldn’t recommend this, as the Planetary Commendations you receive will be hard to find, and you should use them on your Character.
Armor Proficiency: Light
Primary Stat: Willpower
Secondary Stat: Endurance
Crew Skill Proficiency: +5 Critical Synthweaving,+1 Critical Research
Romance-able: Yes, if male
As usual, my SWTOR Kira Carsen Companion Guide is designed to tell you everything you need to know about her. In light of this, I can reveal that Kira is not just handy in combat, but she also possesses talent when it comes to crew skills. If you use her respectively, she will gain you bonuses in the form of +5 Critical Synthweaving, and +1 Critical Research. This means that occasionally she will bring back additional items when used for these skills.
If you play as a male Jedi Knight and wish to pursue a romantic relationship with Kira Carsen, you will first need to gain her affection. Even if you play as a female character, gaining her affection will still be beneficial as you will gain the following bonuses: Improved success in crew skill missions, Interesting stories about her past, and an increased “Presence” attribute for your Character.
Giving her gifts is the quickest way to gain her affection, though giving her the wrong types can result in wasted credits and no affection gained. Her favorite kinds of gifts are: courting (from males), luxury, technology, cultural artifacts, military gear, Republic memorabilia, trophies, and underworld goods.
