SWTOR Jedi Knight Companions Guide
Below you will find my SWTOR Jedi Knight Companion Guide where I will tell you everything you need to know about the Companions you will receive including: statistics, attributes, what they like and dislike, and armor proficiency. Whether you choose to be a Sentinel or a Guardian your Companion characters will be the same.
By reading my 6 Companion Guides you will gain a better understanding of which Companions will compliment your Characters role, whether you are Tanking or DPS. The main reason I am writing this SWTOR Jedi Knight Companion Guide is because I find searching the internet for information annoying, so here is everything you need to know in one easy to reach place. You can find out more about each companion by clicking any of the names below:
T7-01 will be your first Companion as a Jedi Knight. Gaining your first Companion is sort of like a rite of passage in SWTOR, and it feels so good not to run around alone! You will find T7-01 at the end of starter planet Tython at around level 8, though this will depend on how long it takes you to complete your class quests here. He specializes in being a Ranged Tank, which will be very useful to all the DPS Characters, as he will take the agro away from you in combat, allowing you to to maximum damage without getting annihilated. He is an adorable little Astromech droid, but don’t be fooled, he is a powerful Companion!
C2-N2
C2-N2 is the droid that comes with your personal starship once you reach level 17. He is pretty useless when it comes to combat, though he can be used as a weak healer or DPS, I would advise against it. The main thing I use C2-N2 for is to do my crew skill bidding. However, you will find that while you complete quests, you will receive some droid parts. I would use these to upgrade T7-01, not C2-N2 as you will honestly find he is never used. At present, you cannot gain any affection with him. He is too devoted with you, and nothing displeases him either!
Kira will be your second Companion, and she will join your crew when you reach Coruscant. This should be at around level 25. Prone to cynicism and a stubborn independent streak, Kira Carsen is an improbable recruit to the Jedi Order. This is partially excused by the fact that she began her Padawan training as a young adult; Kira had spent most of her life up to that point as a homeless drifter, scraping out a miserable existence on some of the galaxy’s most unpleasant worlds. She specializes in being a melee DPS, which will prove useful to all the Tanking Jedi Knights.
Doc is the third Companion available to the Jedi Knight. You can find him on Balmorra at around level 32. If this is your first Character on SWTOR, you will unlock your legacy around this time, once you complete act 1. Doc is a Human who uses a Blaster Pistol and Scattergun to fulfill his role of healer. You may also like to switch his role to make him a DPS. He is romance-able if you play as a female Jedi Knight.
Rusk will be your fourth Companion. He will be available upon completion of your class quests on Hoth at around level 35. Raised by a colony of pacifist Chagrians, Rusk rebelled against his family’s beliefs and enlisted with the Republic military as soon as he could. At first, he proved to be a brilliant soldier and was identified as a rising star in the Republic’s ranks. Somewhere along the way, however, his bravery crossed the line into recklessness. Rusk specializes in being a Ranged DPS, and therefore benefits from using a Blaster Cannon and a Generator. He has a dark personality which will make it more difficult to gain his affection.
Lord Scourge will be your fifth and final Companion as a Jedi Knight. You can find him on Empire’s Palace which is post-Hoth at around level 41. He is a strange Companion to have as a Light side character, as he has a Dark yet redeemed personality. He likes: using power against the weak, power, anger, revenge and spit, which are all obviously Dark choices to make in conversation.
As the Sith Emperor’s personal executioner, the grimly fatalistic Lord Scourge has personally killed more than a hundred Jedi–and ten times as many Sith. Even the most powerful members of the Dark Council avoid offending the man bearing the title “the Emperor’s Wrath.” He will dislike anything Jedi or Republic related, making him a very hard Companion to get along with!
So there we have it, my SWTOR Jedi Knight Companions Guide on how to get every Companion, but also including their personal information and level requirements. If you require more information on each Companion individually please view my guides. I have also written guides for each class in SWTOR, so please feel free to visit them too!
